Tongariro National Park Manawatu-Whanganui
73km, 50km, 32km, 21km, 12km & 6km

The Ring of Fire Ruapehu is due to take place on the 11th of March 2023.

The 73km Volcanic Ultra Run is an incredibly tough physical and mental challenge that only carefully prepared individuals will take on. The 73km Ultra involves a massive 3,370m of elevation and 3,370m descent.

The Ring Of Fire 50km Run will take individuals on a journey around two thirds of the mountain from the Ohakune Mountain Road home to Whakapapa Village.

The 32km, 21km, 12km & 6km are all achievable alpine trails available to run or walk. This is the least technical leg that gives you a taste of mountain running and is a great introduction before taking on the longer distances.
