The 73km Volcanic Ultra Run is an incredibly tough physical and mental challenge that only carefully prepared individuals will take on. The 73km Ultra involves a massive 3,555m of elevation and 3,555m descent.
The Ring Of Fire 50km Run will take individuals on a journey around two thirds of the mountain from the Ohakune Mountain Road home to Whakapapa Village. The course experiences 1,912m of elevation and 2,340m of descent.
The Ring of Fire relay takes on the 73km Ruapehu Around the Mountain Track. The distance is broken up into 3 legs - 24km, 33km and 32km.
