Red Zone 6 Mountain Bike Challenge
The Red Zone 6 Hour Mountain Bike Challenge will return in 2023 on the 23rd of April.
Red Zone 6 Hour Mountain Bike Challenge is staged in the Burwood Red Zone.
Staged in the Red Zone it is 6 Hours of mountain bike racing around the Burwood Subdivision, taking in the footpaths, tracks and roads. The footpaths have been made into a perfect mountain bike track from the earthquakes, liquefaction and natural growth on the berms of the roads.
As a kid everyone loved riding on the footpaths and now, you’re allowed to do it and go as fast as you possibly can. Short sharp sprints in and out of cul-de-sacs, fast corners in and around the subdivision. Experience what nature is taking back to its original era and where families had beautiful gardens and plantings, which is now a great mountain bike track.
This 10km circuit is a challenge for everyone and fast. Teams are made up of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 riders. Individual entries are available for those looking to do it all by themselves.
