The Hutt Marathon will take place on the 15th of September 2024. Distances available include a 5km fun run, 10km, Half Marathon and full Marathon. The Half Marathon, 10km and 5km can also be walked.
The Whangarei Run/Walk Festival takes place on the 15th of September 2024. The event includes a half marathon, 8. 5km and 4km fun run and walk as part of the Sport Northland Run/Walk Series.

The Queen Charlotte Relay is one of the oldest road relays held in New Zealand and still running on a State Highway. Taking place on the 21st of September 2024, the event is a 5 leg relay from Picton to Havelock and is open to runners and walkers.

The Blue Lake 24 Hour Challenge returns on the 28-29th September 2024. The course is a clockwise 6km around the beautiful Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake) in Rotorua. Participants can run as little or as much as they choose up to 24 hours.
The Cole Murray Cape Kidnappers Trail Run will take place on the 28th of September 2024. The Cole Murray Cape Kidnappers Trail Run offers a 34km, half marathon, 15km and 6km trail run or walk through stunning Cape Kidnappers in the Hawkes Bay.
The 3 Lakes Trail Run is organised by Sport Northland takes place at the stunning Kai Iwi Lakes on the 5th of October 2024. Offering half marathon, 12km and 5km distance options, the 3 Lakes Trail Run caters to the whole family.
Held annually amongst the pure wildness of Rakiura National Park, this event brings a high buzz to the small Stewart Island community whereby the population on the Island doubles in size over the weekend.
Finally, a chance to run with your best friend! An off road walking/running event set in the beautiful Bottle Lake Forest and beaches of Christchurch. The 4 Paws Marathon is a dream inspired by a passionate Sport & Exercise Doctor who loves running with his dogs.
If there's one event to put on the list for the run of a lifetime, it's the Abel Tasman Coastal Classic. Come stride into paradise. The Abel Tasman Coastal Classic first began in 1994 and quickly became one of New Zealand's most popular Trail Runs.
The Taupo Ultramarathon is a 100km run across a network of interconnected trails alongside beautiful Lake Taupo. The 100km challenge is also open to teams. In addition, there are a number of additional entry options such as the 70km run as well as 50km and 24km run or walk.
The Rotary ALLFIT Coastal Run, is taking place on the 20th of October 2024. The Rotary ALLFIT Coastal Run is a community event organized by the Rotary Club of Pohutukawa Coast Inc.
After the unfortunate cancellation of Trail Trilogy 2023, the event will be back on the 20th of October 2024. The event is a trail running event held along the Hauraki Rail Trail with all distances finishing in Waihi.
Run Orewa takes place on the 20th of October 2024. The event has distances for runners of all abilities; 2km, 5km, 10km & 15km and is the first race in the North Shore Run Series.
The Kaikōura Mountains to the Sea will return in 2024 on the 26th of October. The Kaikōura Mountains to the Sea run is a joint fundraising event for Kaikoura High School and the Kaikoura Lions.
Hawkes Bay's only backyard ultra! Run as many of the 6. 7km laps as you can. Entry is free although koha is greatly appreciated. All profits from the event will be donated to the Waipukurau Rotary River Pathways Trust.
Mission Mt Somers is taking place on the 2nd of November 2024. The event is an annual trail running event held in Canterbury based around the Mt Somers DOC walking track.
Round the Vines is the biggest small school fundraiser in NZ!
Last year 14,250 fund-raising kilometres were walked and run - with the course going through Martinborough School, so you can see some of what RTV has given pupils and the community.

The annual Lochmara Lodge Half Marathon will take place on the 9th of November 2024. The event offers 22km of running the beautiful Queen Charlotte Track. The course finishes at Lochmara lodge with lunch before your boat trip back to Picton.
The Mt Isthmus Traverse, will take place on the 9th of November 2024. The Mt Isthmus Traverse off-road running event will take place on the privately owned Glen Dene Station in Lake Hawea.
The City to Surf Tauranga - Mt Maunganui Fun Run Walk will return on the 10th of November 2024. The event offers a half marathon, 11km and 5km. All distances can be run or walked.
The Corporate Challenge is a 5km run, jog or walk organised exclusively for businesses and organisations. The first event in the Corporate Challenge series takes place in Wellington on Wednesday the 13th of November 2024 at Waitangi Park.
The Queenstown Marathon will return on the 16th of November 2024.
The Molesworth Run, is due to take place on the 16th of November 2024. The Molesworth Station is New Zealand's largest high country station and is located in the upper half of the South Island.

Poronui Passage is a luxury trail and mountain bike event held in a back-country station set in the foothills of the Kaimanawa Mountain Ranges, just 40 minutes from Taupo. The event offers a marathon distance trail run and a half marathon run or walk.
The Hanmer Holiday Homes Alpine Marathon, Half Marathon and 10km races return on the 7th of December 2024. The Alpine Marathon Run has a 7 hour cut off time and includes 350m of elevation. The half marathon and 10km distances can be run or walked.
The Kepler Challenge takes place on the 7th of December 2024. The event will take place on the beautiful Kepler Track within Fiordland National Park. The course is 60km long with a total ascent and descent of 1350m.

The Mount Festival of Multisport includes an AquaBike event. The event features a 2km swim followed by a 90km bike ride. The swim is in the sheltered harbour and the ride follows the same course as the Tauranga Half.

The Cargo Plus Coastal Challenge is taking place on the 15th of February 2025. This event gives participants the chance to run, walk, wade, and rock hop all the way down Auckland’s extraordinary North Shore coastline.
