Celebrating its 20th year in 2020, the ARC Adventure Race offers a 24 hour, 16 hour and 8 hour adventure race challenge in the Coromandel. In 2020 a new format of adventure racing is being introduced called the “Adventure Rogaine”. The race will involve a series of stages, including trekking, mountain biking and kayaking or an alternative water- based activity. Each stage will be a rogaine in it’s own right with a time limit and a number of point scoring checkpoints. The team with the highest number of points wins. In addition, the event includes a Schools Challenge as well as an 8 Hour Cure Kids Challenge, which is open to teams who would like to raise funds towards this worthwhile cause.
