Heads to Harbour Paddle Festival - EVENT CANCELLED

Ocean Ski Race + Waka Ama Ocean Race: From $80 to $100. Paddle Marathon Races: From $30 to $60 Ocean Ski Race + Waka Ama Ocean Race: 23 - 27km. Paddle Marathon Races: 5km, 10km, 15km & 20km.

The Heads to Harbour Paddle Festival due to take place on the 25 - 26th April 2020 has been cancelled and will return in 2021. Please refer to Facebook page for further information. 

The Heads to Harbour Paddle Festival is race 5 of the Darcy Price NZ Ocean Surfski Series and the National Ocean Ski Competition. The festival offers Ocean Ski Races, Waka Ama Ocean Races as well Paddle Marathon Races.

The series has been named after Darcy Price, who sadly passed away in 2018. Darcy was one of the driving forces behind ski paddling in New Zealand, founding the King and Queen of the Harbour and the Takapuna Beach Series surfski races. This series is created to: Promote the sport & grow the paddling community; Encourage paddlers to compete, challenge themselves & experience these fantastic events; Provide a pathway for paddlers to compete in international surfski events.

A paddlers best three races of the series will count towards the series results, with a final prize giving at the Head to Harbour event. The Darcy Price series will form the selection criteria for the ICF Ocean Surf Ski Worlds team. The event is also the 2020 National Ocean Ski competition for the under 23 and open categories.
