Cougar Trail Run is race one of the Run Taupō Trail Series. Taking place on the 9th of July 2022, the event is held at Cougar Mountain Bike Park in Tokoroa. Distances on offer include a half marathon, 14.5km and 7km and all distances can be run or walked. 

The half marathon course includes 360m of elevation and is a combination of single trail through pine, native and harvested forest as well as gravel forest roads.
