The Hanmer Holiday Homes Alpine Marathon, Half Marathon and 10km races will take place on the 4th of December 2021. The event takes place high in the alpine environment of the St James and Molesworth Stations, following the Clarence River along quiet gravel roads and crossing Jacks Pass before descending to the village of Hanmer Springs. The Marathon course starts at Lake Tennyson at 1087m and includes a major climb at 33km for 3km with elevation gain of 70m followed by 6km downhill with elevation loss of 380m to finish.
