Mt Oxford Odyssey 2021
Mt Oxford Odyssey will return on the 17th of April 2021 following the cancellation of the 2020 event due to Covid-19.
Mt Oxford Odyssey offers a 15km Trail Run or Tramp, a 21km Half Marathon Run or Tramp over the mountain, the Further Faster 32km Mountain Challenge, or the Salewa Mountain Marathon.
The Salewa Mountain Marathon has more vertical gain than any other marathon in NZ with 3,500 metres vertical gain over the course distance. There may also be snow and ice on the course.
The Further Faster 32km Mountain Challenge Race takes participants up Mt Oxford and then on a trip down to the Wharfedale Track.
The Half Marathon can be run or tramped. The race starts in Coopers Creek at the base of Mt Oxford taking participants up the mountain with amazing 360 degree views of the Southern Alps to the Canterbury Plains.
The 15km trail race is on a track at the base of Mt Oxford starting and finishing in Coopers Creek.
