The 2023 Taupo Marathon will take place on the 5th of August 2023. The annual event offers a Marathon, Half Marathon and 10km and 5km run. The Half Marathon, 10km and 5km courses can also be walked. The Marathon starts and finishes at the Tongariro Domain and completes two laps of the Half Marathon course. The Half Marathon course heads along Lake Terrace and the highway out to 5 Mile Bay, returning back along the Great Lake Pathway with stunning views of Lake Taupo. The 10km run / walk follows the Lakefront to 2 Mile Bay returning to Tongariro North Domain.
