Te Wheke Challenge is an 8km or 13km trail run in Onemana taking place on the 14th of March 2020.

The tough 13km course includes 600m of climbing and is mostly on trails or sand with 3.6km on gravel and sealed roads.

The new 8km distance has 250m of climbing, 5.8km on trails and beach with 2.2km on gravel roads. The course starts at the Whangamata Lookout and finishes at Onemana Beach. Walkers can also enter the 8km.
