The Press Run to Remember

Run, Walk, Fun Run, Kids & Family Run
Victoria Park, Christchurch Canterbury
Child $15. Adult $22. Family $60. Team $220. 10km

In partnership with The Press, Sport Canterbury invites people all ages from across New Zealand to gather in Christchurch for a very special event on the 21st of February 2021.

It has always brought together locals and visitors alike, given the inspiration it draws from our natural environment, the sense of adventure and community spirit Christchurch has become known for.

This event was created in 2012 to honour the lives lost in the Canterbury earthquakes, and has continued - along Summit Road and then down Rapaki Track - to bring communities together, and celebrate the benefits of being active to our physical and mental health.

In 2021, we recognise the 10th anniversary of the Canterbury earthquakes, and the sense of community and strength our city has become renowned for, around the world.

In the midst of a global pandemic, we recognise challenges to the health of our communities. We are aware that Cantabrians in particular have experienced significant stress and anxiety.

For this reason, to confirm our 2021 event date, we bring together a small group of Canterbury champions, who represent the hope and connection that will help us get through these challenging times - as a community.

On behalf of Sport Canterbury and The Press, we look forward to sharing stories of people who will put this date aside, to celebrate the communities who inspire us.
