From $48.40 to $71.80 6 yrs: 50 swim & 1.5km run. 7 yrs: 50m swim, 4km bike, 1.5km run. 8-10 yrs: 100m swim, 4km bike, 1.5km run. 11-15yrs: 150m swim, 8km bike, 1.5km run. Duathlon: 7-10yrs: 4km bike & 1.5km run. 11-15yrs: 8km bike & 1.5km run.

The Palmerston North Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon, is back and due to take place on the 18th of March 2025.

Open to Kiwi kids of all sporting abilities the Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is a fun day out for kids, parents and families. Participants get to swim, cycle, and run their way around age appropriate courses, either as an individual or as part of a team of two. 

The Palmerston North Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon will begin with the swim leg in the outdoor pool at the Lido Aquatic Centre. The pool is 50m in length, with a depth of 1m in the shallow end and 1.5m in the deep end. The Transition area is located a short distance from the pool in Ongley Park. The bike leg is around the streets surrounding Ongley Park, and the run leg is around Ongley Park itself.

New in 2025 is a Duathlon option, offering a run, bike, run option for 7-15 year olds. 

The Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is designed for Kiwi kids aged 6-15 years to help them stay active and healthy through a programme of participation. The series has been running since 1992 and is a rite of passage for Kiwi kids, with close to half a million Kiwi kids having given it a TRY.
