The South Auckland Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon will take place at Mountford Park, Manurewa. The swim leg is in the indoor pool at the Manurewa Pool & Leisure Centre. The pool is 25m in length, with a depth of 1m in the shallow end and 1.35m in the deep end. The Transition area is located on the field behind the Manurewa Pool & Leisure Centre. The bike leg is around the streets surrounding Mountfort Park, and the run leg is around Mountfort Park itself.
The Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is designed for Kiwi kids aged 6-15 years to help them stay active and healthy through a programme of participation. The series has been running since 1992 and is a rite of passage for Kiwi kids, with close to half a million Kiwi kids having given it a TRY.
