The Run Auckland is a series of 6 running events hosted at purpose-picked locations around Auckland to offer all types of runners a challenge. Race 5 in the series will take place on the 18th of August 2024 at Farm Cove, Pakuranga.
The Great Naseby Water Race will take place on August 28th 2024. The event is a series of ultra running events. Distances include 50, 60, 80, 100, 160, 200km and 200mile. Must be 18 years or older to participate.
The Southern Tour will take place in 2024 from 31 August to 1 September 2024. Saturday 31 August:

Challenge yourself on a course that includes swamp crossings, a spider’s web net climb, crawl under barb wire, beautiful native bush trails, tunnels, hurdles, a climbing frame plus a lot of mud! The event offers 6km or 12km options.
The Cyclng New Zealand NZSS Northern Tour 2024 event will take place from 7-8 September.
The event includes 3 stages; an Individual Time Trial, Hill Climb and Criterium.
The Kinloch Off-Road Challenge will take place on the 7th of September 2024. The event offers a Marathon, Half Marathon, 12km and 7km as well as a Kids Dash. The courses utilize the excellent trail network in and around Kinloch, Taupō.

Save the date for the Peak to Pub multisport event at Mount Hutt on the 14th of September 2024. The event takes participants from the summit of Mount Hutt to the Blue Pub in Methven.
The Hutt Marathon will take place on the 15th of September 2024. Distances available include a 5km fun run, 10km, Half Marathon and full Marathon. The Half Marathon, 10km and 5km can also be walked.

The Kerikeri Half Marathon will take place on the 16th of September 2024. The Kerikeri Half Marathon is flat and fast and offers Half Marathon and 5km distances.
Race Tekapo will return in 2024 on the 21st of September!
The event is an exciting destination race taking place in the heart of Tekapo. Enjoy breathtaking lake and mountain views while running through Lake Tekapo, Mt John and the Regional Park.
The annual multisport event for women only, Spring Challenge South Island will return from the 27-29th of September 2024. The South Island event will take place in the Tasman region. The annual event is designed by endurance athlete Nathan Fa’avae, who is a 6-time Adventure Racing World Champion.
The Blue Lake 24 Hour Challenge returns on the 28-29th September 2024. The course is a clockwise 6km around the beautiful Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake) in Rotorua. Participants can run as little or as much as they choose up to 24 hours.
Muddy Good Run is exactly that, a Good Muddy Run. We build mud pits, slippery slides, mud and water slides, cars to climb over, cars to crawl under, containers to scale, hay bales to get over, camo net crawls, cargo net climbs and a run and crawl in between.
The National School Road Championships will take place from the 29th of September to the 1st of October 2024.

The National School MTB Championships will be held in Christchurch from the 7 - 10 October and he event will include Enduro, Downhill, Cross Country and Cross Country Relay events. At minimum competiters must be enrolled in Year 7.
The combined South Island and National School Track Championships will be held in Invercargill on 8- 9 October 2024.
The Bay of Islands Walking Weekend has 25 walks to choose from 2km - 21km. The Bay of Islands Walking Weekend provides guided walks on private land that only opens for the walking weekend.
The Karapiro 100k Flyer will return on the 12th of October 2024. The course is a 100km loop starting and finishing at the Mighty River Domain. The event also offers a shorter 50km option. Both distances are open to Adult/Junior Solo Riders, Tandems and E-Bikes.
The Motu Challenge wil take place in Opotiki on the 12th of October 2024. The event offers a multisport race as well as the Motu 160 MTB and Road Bike Challenge as well as short and long duathlon options.
If there's one event to put on the list for the run of a lifetime, it's the Abel Tasman Coastal Classic. Come stride into paradise. The Abel Tasman Coastal Classic first began in 1994 and quickly became one of New Zealand's most popular Trail Runs.
The Taupo Ultramarathon is a 100km run across a network of interconnected trails alongside beautiful Lake Taupo. The 100km challenge is also open to teams. In addition, there are a number of additional entry options such as the 70km run as well as 50km and 24km run or walk.
After the unfortunate cancellation of Trail Trilogy 2023, the event will be back on the 20th of October 2024. The event is a trail running event held along the Hauraki Rail Trail with all distances finishing in Waihi.
The Whaka 100 will take place from the 25th to the 27th of October 2024.

The Kaikōura Mountains to the Sea will return in 2024 on the 26th of October. The Kaikōura Mountains to the Sea run is a joint fundraising event for Kaikoura High School and the Kaikoura Lions.
Hawkes Bay's only backyard ultra! Run as many of the 6. 7km laps as you can. Entry is free although koha is greatly appreciated. All profits from the event will be donated to the Waipukurau Rotary River Pathways Trust.
The Big Bang Adventure Race will return in 2024 on the 2nd of November.

Mission Mt Somers is taking place on the 2nd of November 2024. The event is an annual trail running event held in Canterbury based around the Mt Somers DOC walking track.
The Gentle Annie is a challenging 132km bike ride from Taihapi to Ohiti Berg near Hastings in the Hawkes Bay.
The course follows the Gentle Annie road through rugged farmland and high country sheep stations.
The Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Marathon will take place on the 3rd of November 2024. Distances offered include Marathon, Half Marathon, 11km, 5km Family and a Kids Marathon and Wheelchair Marathon.
The annual Lochmara Lodge Half Marathon will take place on the 9th of November 2024. The event offers 22km of running the beautiful Queen Charlotte Track. The course finishes at Lochmara lodge with lunch before your boat trip back to Picton.
The Taniwha is a Mountain Bike and Trail Run / Walk event which takes place on the Waikato River Trails. The event offers a 44km marathon run as well as a 22km half marathon, 16km and 7km which can be run or walked.
The Mt Isthmus Traverse, will take place on the 9th of November 2024. The Mt Isthmus Traverse off-road running event will take place on the privately owned Glen Dene Station in Lake Hawea.
The City to Surf Tauranga - Mt Maunganui Fun Run Walk will return on the 10th of November 2024. The event offers a half marathon, 11km and 5km. All distances can be run or walked.
Ride the Wilderness is a Mountain Bike Ride on the West Coast Wilderness Trail on the 16th November 2024. This event gives riders the opportunity to see the West Coast beauty racing the fantastic West Coast Wilderness Trail.
The Queenstown Marathon will return on the 16th of November 2024.

The 1. 9km swim takes place in Lake Taupo starting on the beach, heading towards the Yacht Club and back, exiting on Lake Terrace and transitioning at Kaimanawa Reserve.
